Stuck in a Warranty Trap: A Complete Nightmare 😫
I’m writing this as a warning to other parents considering this site. My online shopping experience has been a complete nightmare, and I feel totally ripped off. My feeling about this whole ordeal is simple: this place is the worst. I've ordered glasses with added warranty and needed a replacement due to the frame breaking and each time I've needed a lens replacement they tell me my choice of frame is out of stock and will therefore he receiving a store credit plus a small % which doesn't make sense. I felt I had no choice but to call customer service to understand how they could justify this constant runaround.
Customer: I'm calling about my warranty replacement for order #XYZ. For the second time, the frame broke, and I'm being told it's out of stock and I'll only get a partial store credit. How does my order value go from $189 down to $130?
CS Rep: I'm very sorry to hear about the trouble you've had. Let me pull up your account. I see the history here, and I understand your frustration with the out-of-stock items and the credit value.
Customer: It's more than frustrating; it feels like a robbery. You issue fake discount codes and then decrease the value of my order. I have to use the credit, or I lose my money, but I keep ending up with cheaper, flimsier glasses. I'm so tired of dealing with this crap.
CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for your experience. That is not the standard we aim for. Let me see if I can find a comparable frame from a different brand that is in stock and personally override the price to match your original purchase value, without any deductible.
